The Tavern in the Square is an evolution of the classic neighborhood joint. A place to stop for a beer, meet on a date for a drink, watch a game with friends, or sit down for a relaxing dinner with family. The restaurant is known for its vibrant sports atmosphere, perfect for group dinners and watching sporting events.
The tavern in the Square is spacious and airy. Its large patio can be wide open or partially or entirely closed off for use in all types of weather. The diverse menu offers an upscale take on pub fare and comfort foods, with options that appeal to burger-loving crowds, vegans, vegetarians, gluten—or dairy-free diet followers, and virtually anyone else.
The building has no nuts, and the restaurant’s philosophy emphasizes allergy awareness.
There are more than two dozen draft beers, many from Connecticut breweries, including Thimble Island, Two Roads, Back East, Counterweight, and some Massachusetts favorites like Wormtown’s Be Hoppy and the Jacks Abby Blood Orange Wheat. Most beers are offered in a choice of sizes.
The company prides itself on researching each menu item and is committed to locally sourced ingredients.
