Connecticut’s professional soccer team, Hartford Athletic participates in the USL Championship and plays it’s home matches at Trinity Health Stadium (formerly Dillion Stadium), one mile southeast of the Connecticut Convention Center next to the historic Colt Building. Check out the food trucks and festival atmosphere at all Hartford Athletic home games!
The 27-hole golf course extends nearly a mile down the center of the park from north to south. Wooded parkland encircles the course, buffering other recreational features, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, a basketball court, and play area. Paved vehicular drives and two walking trails wind through the trees connecting the various park features to the surrounding street grid. In 2018 a restaurant was placed on the overlook at the Maple Avenue entrance.
Great River Park features a 350-seat amphitheater, public boat launch, and pedestrian access to the Charter Oak, Founders, and Bulkeley Bridges. Great River Park is open from sunrise to sunset.

Mortensen Riverfront Plaza is the centerpiece of the Riverfront Recapture park system with a stage at the river’s edge and seating for 2,500 people on a grassy terrace. The Founders Bridge promenade connects Hartford with East Hartford, linking directly to Great River Park.

Just north of downtown, this Victorian-era park is home to Riverfront Rowing, our community rowing program, and miles of unpaved trails through floodplain forest. Riverside Park is open from sunrise to sunset.

Bushnell Park (1854) is located in the heart of downtown Hartford. It features a historic carousel and numerous monuments such as the Corning Fountain and Sailors and Soldiers Memorial Arch. Bushnell Park is the site of many major events each year, including the Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz and the Hartford Marathon.
